State-of-the-art processing machinery for the plastics industry

KraussMaffei is a high-tech engineering company, supplying production machinery and systems for the plastics processing industry. KraussMaffei Berstorff builds single- and twin-screw extruders (counter- and co-rotating) and supplies complete, single-vendor lines for pipe, profile and sheet extrusion. In pipe extrusion KraussMaffei Berstorff offers extruder, pipeheads and complete pipe production lines, at all levels of automation, for all types of pipe.

Jointly with egeplast, KraussMaffei Berstorff engineers developed the fully-automated QuickSwitch dimension change system for PO pipe. KraussMaffei Berstorff is the only engineering company currently supplying this technology. QuickSwitch systems have been installed and operating smoothly with a number of polyolefin pipe manufacturers for several years. Now KraussMaffei Berstorff is offering QuickSwitch systems with all their advantages for PVC pipe extrusion. The first PVC QuickSwitch systems are already in operation.
